Our 'world' vs the 'truth'...

I had to share this. I'm currently reading an awesome book and this passage spoke to me. It's exactly how our world expects us to be, but not how we're supposed to be:
"The World says - fight, battle, push, fix, control, achieve, override, get out of the way of your feelings to keep doing, constant achievement should be applauded, vulnerability is weakness so hide your anxiety, stay upbeat and positive, striving is rock solid healthy living, listening to your feelings and issues is a waste of time and selfish namby-pamby nonsense. Happiness is your goal, success makes you a good person"
"The Truth says - the way to peace and healing is acceptance, trust, hope, self-compassion and rest. Vulnerability is strength, and surrender is a place of transformation, a courageous place from which to say 'help'. We are designed as emotional beings. Life is up and down, darkness is allowed and trials are often great teachers and part of living life to the full. Meaningful work is wonderful if you get it, but what you achieve is not who you are"
